The hard pounding rock band The Dirty Callahans was founded the summer of `99 in a Norwegian small town called Vestby. As soon as the five members joined forces in a cold dirty old rehearsal room, they started writing their exceptional hard rock music.

They are known as a great live band, who always delivers a package full of energy, exceptional hard rock music, and what some might say a "punch-in-the-face performance". You can hear, see and feel the thrill these guys get from playing live. "They glow on stage"!

The dirty band members are Kjetil on lead vocal, Dr.Love and Pesh on guitars, Sniz on bass and Lars on drums.

They recorded their first EP in 2002, containing five songs. This EP has been distributed at their concerts, and nearly a thousand Norwegian rockers now own a copy.

In 2003 The Dirty Callahans did many shows around Oslo, and in June they played at the Norwegian Wood Festival, on the Underwood Scene. 8 out of 400 underground bands were chosen to participate at the festival.

The band finished recording their debut album in 2004 in Studio Laan, produced and engineered by Sondre Larssen. The Dirty Callahans signed a record deal with FACEFRONT Record Company and released the album titled "Fucked Up And Standing" in October 2004. It is being distributed by Voices Music & Entertainment (vme).
